Adapt and Overcome | PETE ROBERTS

September 1, 2020 //  by Ryan Michler

No doubt, 2020 has kicked you in the teeth. It has for everyone to some degree. What you do now is completely up to you. If you adapt quickly, you’ll win. If you don’t, well, good luck. Most men understand this. Few do it.

That’s why I wanted to have my good friend, Jiu-Jitsu coach, and business mentor back on the podcast. He’s arguably one the best and quickest adaptors in the game. His name is Pete Roberts and he is the founder of Origin. Today, we talk about how to recognize evolving trends, how to get ahead of the curve in life, when to adjust, and what factors to look for and, we give a bit of cultural commentary, including some political predictions (which were proven wrong since the recording of this podcast).

“You really have to give a shit and care about what you’re doing as a mission.” Tweet That— Pete Roberts

Pete Roberts

Gents, my guest today is Pete Roberts and, as I said early, he is the founder of Origin Maine, an American manufacturing company based in Maine. It might sound familiar to you because you hear me talk about Origin every week and there’s a reason why (you’ll hear about it on the podcast).

Besides being one of the best innovators I know when it comes to growing, building, and scaling a business, he’s been a great mentor and friend, and one of the primary reason for us making our move to Maine.

I always enjoy my conversations with Pete and I always walk away with a new perspective I hadn’t considered before. You will too.

“You have to be willing to execute in the right timeframe to create luck.” Tweet That— Pete Roberts

Battle Ready Program

Gentlemen, at this point over 4,000 men have gone through the Battle Ready Program.

If you aren’t familiar with what that is, it’s a free email course designed to walk you through four critical phases of planning our your life. Look, I know how much you want to accomplish. I know that most men (based on the responses I’ve heard) are struggling with discipline and consistency. I also know that you believe you are meant for something more.

It isn’t going to fall into your lap, gents. You have to go out and take it. But rather than be reckless in your pursuit, let me show you how to be calculated and precise in identifying what you want then doing the work necessary to claim it.

About Ryan Michler

Ryan Michler is a husband, father, Iraq Combat Veteran, and the founder of Order of Man. Ryan was raised without a permanent father figure and has seen first-hand how a lack of strong, ambitious, self-sufficient men has negatively impacted society. He believes many of the world's most complicated and challenging problems could be resolved if men dedicated themselves to becoming more capable husbands, fathers, businessmen, and community leaders.

It has now become his life's mission to help men across the planet step more fully into their roles as protectors, providers, and presiders over themselves, their families, their businesses, and their communities. His podcast, Order of Man, has been downloaded over 20,000,000 times, he has a social media presence of over 500,000 men, and thousands of men have successfully completed his online and live workshops, courses, and events. You can learn more at his website, Order of Man.
