Order of Man Podcast Episode 322

ETHAN SUPLEE | American Glutton

March 30, 2021 //  by Ryan Michler

My guest today is Ethan Suplee. You may know him from his acting roles on Remember the Titans, American History X, and Without a Paddle. But if you saw him today, you likely wouldn’t recognize him. That’s because he’s transformed not only his physical appearance but every element of his life.

Today, we talk about his journey to lose over 250 pounds, what it’s like to be severely obese in Hollywood and how many people had a vested interest in him being unhealthy, why who you listen to is so crucial on your self-development journey, adding meaning to challenging self-work, and overcoming a sense of complete powerlessness.

“If you believe yourself to be powerless, then you’re powerless. If you believe yourself to be causative, then you’re causative. It’s just the way you choose to look at the situation.” Tweet That— Ethan Suplee

My guest today is none other than Hollywood Actor, husband, father, and host of the American Glutton Podcast, Ethan Suplee.

Many of you have seen Ethan in Remember the Titans, Butterfly Effect, American History X, Without a Paddle, and so many more movies but, more recently, he’s gained a lot of visibility and attention by embarking on his own health journey by losing over 250 pounds and, frankly, getting jacked.

I really enjoyed this podcast because Ethan is such a humble person and he’s taken his years and years of struggle and not only used it as fuel for his own life but fuel for helping others transform themselves primarily through his podcast, American Glutton.

“Step one to figuring out my life was confronting and looking at the habits and activities that got me to where I am, trying to unravel them, and then lay down new habits.” Tweet That— Ethan Suplee

About Ryan Michler

Ryan Michler is a father of four, Iraq Combat Veteran, and the founder of Order of Man. Ryan was raised without a permanent father figure and has seen first-hand how a lack of strong, ambitious, self-sufficient men has negatively impacted society. He believes many of the world's most complicated and challenging problems could be resolved if men dedicated themselves to becoming more capable husbands, fathers, businessmen, and community leaders.

It has now become his life's mission to help men across the planet step more fully into their roles as protectors, providers, and presiders over themselves, their families, their businesses, and their communities. His podcast, Order of Man, has been downloaded over 45,000,000 times, he has a social media presence of over 1,00,000 men, and thousands of men have successfully completed his online and live workshops, courses, and events. You can learn more at his website, Order of Man.
