As men, we’re hardwired to look for problems we see with the environment around us. Unfortunately, too few of us are willing to take the next step and do something about the issues we identify.
My guest today is not that kind of man. His name is Ian Wendt and he’s taking a stand against some of the most polarizing social issues of the day. Today, Ian and I talk about overcoming the opinions of others, when to compromise and when not to, how excellence is the ultimate rebellion, how a man ought to show up in his community, and, ultimately, becoming a man of conviction.
“Progression is the ultimate goal for God’s children.” Tweet That— Ian Wendt
My guest today is a good friend and someone I admire because he’s willing to put his money where his mouth is – an increasing rarity today. His name is Ian Wendt and he’s got a successful history in communication sales but has since launched his own brand and apparel company, Official Patriot Gear. Their message is simple: patriotism is not partisan.
He’s taking that message to the masses and drawing light and attention to some of the most controversial and polarizing subjects of today’s culture and society. Enjoy.
“One of the biggest responsibilities we have…is to live the American dream.” Tweet That— Ian Wendt
- Why talk about cultural and societal issues
- Who is trying to divide us?
- The ultimate agenda of evil is to take away freedom
- I’ll respect your freedom, you respect mine
- Have we compromised too much?
- Many people feel the same way but are afraid to speak up
- Our abundance is our challenge
- Don’t give people power over you
- How men can influence culture
- Stack little wins every day
As you might guess, I am not a fan of the term, “safe space,” but I am a fan of creating an environment where men are free to share some of their most closely held thoughts, beliefs, and weaknesses. Because, when men are free to share with other men what they really struggle with, they finally give themselves the power to address what has been plaguing and keeping them back for far too long.
This is exactly what the Iron Council is all about and, when you band with us, you’re going to tap into a powerful band of brothers that will give you the grounds to share who you really are, what you truly struggle with, and the power to finally do something about it.
We are opening back up on March 15th so head to www.orderofman.com/ironcouncil to be the first to be notified when we do.
